Proposing at a Waterfall on Oahu, Hawaii

Hey aloha,

Are you looking for the perfect spot to propose on Oahu? I had the pleasure of taking a couple to a secluded waterfall for this exact purpose and it was awesome! I would love to do it more.

When the guest contacted me and asked me to do this, I had a few waterfalls in mind, and coordinated with them in advance for the location and also how we would handle filming it.

First we had to get to the waterfall, which was a bit of a hike, because anything that’s easy to get to is going to be crowded on Oahu.

She probably knew something was up, as he was acting nervous and excited.

We were lucky when we got to the waterfall that there wasn’t a single other person and we had the place to ourselves for a while. Perfect!
I was afraid my dog Nalani would knock over the camera, so had to make sure to secure it and get her out of the way.

He gave me a disposable camera and asked her to take a picture by the waterfall. I started snapping away.

He popped the question…

And she said yes!

Afterwards I asked them to tell me the story of how they first met so they could relive those moments. I will keep that part private.
